Fan-Favorite Flyball Tournament Returns For Milestone 150th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show

The Westminster Kennel Club announced details for the highly anticipated return of the Flyball Tournament, now presented by Pro Plan Veterinary Supplements FortiFlora, to its milestone 150th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show presented by Purina Pro Plan. Twenty teams of top-performing dogs from across North America will compete in the high-energy sport that combines speed, agility, and teamwork on Saturday, January 31 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.

The teams vying for the top prize this year include Manic Menagerie and Ready, Set, Ruckus!, who won 2025’s Multi-Breed Division 1 and Division 2 titles, respectively, as well as teams with a wide range of experience — this marks the Furry FUNd$ team’s first Flyball Tournament, while Some Ruff Competition is celebrating their 35th anniversary as a team in 2026.   • Some Ruff Competition (Ontario, Canada)
  • That’s So Fetch (North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia)
  • Underdogs Flyball (Pennsylvania, Maryland)
  • Wicked Runners (Massachusetts, Maine, New York)

Flyball emphasizes the teamwork between dogs and their handlers, highlighting the precision and coordination required for a flawless run. With its fast-paced and thrilling atmosphere, flyball has become popular at dog competitions worldwide, attracting both seasoned enthusiasts and new fans eager to witness the incredible skill and speed of these canine athletes. The inaugural Flyball Tournament at Westminster in 2025 welcomed 60 canine competitors, with winners emerging in three divisions:

  • Regular Division – Party Barkers, Sorry for Party Barking
  • Multi-Breed Division 1 – Manic Menagerie
  • Multi-Breed Division 2 – Ready, Set, Ruckus!

The Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show’s epic three-day, three-night competitive event will feature over 3,000 champion dogs from around the world, culminating in the coveted Best in Show award, which will be crowned at New York City’s iconic Madison Square Garden, the original home of the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show, on February 3. Westminster’s “Canine Celebration” will kick offWestminster Week on Saturday, January 31, at the Javits Center and feature a variety of showstopping activities, including the 13th Annual Masters Agility Championship presented by Purina Pro Plan.
