While it was initially thought that the American Spaniel Club would have to cancel their show due to Tennessee Government COVID protocol, club volunteers would not let up and I am happy to announce that the show WILL go on! The American Spaniel Club will be held at the Ocala, Florida showgrounds from January 15-17!!! Congratulations to all for thinking outside the box and moving to a new venue. I am certain that the ASC board made this decision in the best interest of the sport and ALL of their exhibitors!

After lengthy, unsuccessful negotiations to line up flight arrangements for his return to Norway, it finally happened in grand style last June. Actually, that trip probably rivaled the thrill of winning the Iditarod. By then, everybody in Alaska knew about this Norwegian guy stranded with 16 dogs.

The first half of the Brooksville cluster closed last week, and they have an entry that exceeds 3,000 dogs! I have not seen Brooksville entries like that in decades. This, in my opinion, is great news for our sport. Fewer shows is not always bad news my friends!

American Kennel Club Welcomes Biewer Terrier To The Pack

It’s pretty well established that many health-related breakthroughs result from researching canine diseases. Our meticulously documented pedigree data makes them the ideal species for tracking suspected genetic disorders, many of which plague both our species.

The first week of shows in Brooksville, Florida close today, December 30th and the Tallahassee shows opened yesterday. Please note that the Ocala shows have an entry limit of 1800 dogs. I was unable to confirm if these shows have reached their limit as of the writing of this column.
