Prior to the World Dog Show this year which took place in Budapest, Hungary, Delegates from all FCI countries had a week long itinerary of subjects to discuss. For some months the dog community have been informed of the retirement of the FCI President, Mr Hans Muller.

One hundred and seven Cocker Spaniels of every Variety, from 6 months to 16 years old, and their owners hailing from all along the East Coast, spent a sunny Sunday, April 28, enjoying each other’s company, eating delicious Halo Farms ice cream , Frosty Paws (for dogs), winning door prizes including a $100 Gas Card, and contributing major benefits to the future health of Cocker Spaniels at the American Spaniel Club Foundation’s 1st “Fun Day” Eye/DNA Clinic & Ice Cream Social to find a DNA Marker for Cataracts with Dr. Gustavo Aguirre

It’s the year of the Old English Speepdog! Westminster Kennel Club Reserve Best in Show winning and now World Dog Show Best In Show the Old English Sheepdog breed is having a good year, although the dogs were two different dogs this has to be an exceptional salute to the breed!

Today I have to share my personal experience with taking in the European “flair” of the dog show but also my adjustments to a new environment. Lets just say I want everyone to take note that American hair dryers do not go well with European electricity! Before you all ask, yes I did have the correct adaptor which converts the Europe 220v to an American 110v electric. My lesson was obvious as I started the morning to blow dry my hair and boom, the electric blew!
