Renowned Toy Fancier Dorothy Hageman Passes Away
The dog world lost one of its great supporters and passionate breeders with the passing of Dorothy Hageman of Napa, CA last week at the age of 100. Dorothy was a renowned breeder of Papillons under the Wildways prefix.
Those familiar with the dog show scene have many memories of Barbara Gossett piloting Wildways dogs to the top for decades. This team was a force in Toy groups across the country and their Papillons gained worldwide recognition from top fanciers everywhere.
Dorothy will be missed by everyone in the sport of purebred dogs. Her passing leaves a void that will be difficult to fill.
