American Kennel Club Agility League’s Second National Championship Doubles In Entries
The American Kennel Club (AKC®), a not-for-profit organization, the world’s largest purebred dog registry and leading advocate for dogs, is excited to announce that entries have closed for the 2024 AKC Agility League National Championship. More than 60 teams from around the country will descend on Purina Farms from August 29th – August 31st for the second AKC Agility League National Championship. The AKC Agility League is sponsored by Purina Pro Plan, YuMove, and AKC Pet Insurance.
“We are thrilled to see the increase in entries for the Agility League’s National Championship. The League continues to attract new participants with every season, and holding a National Championship gives AKC the opportunity to highlight these amazing teams,” AKC Executive Secretary Gina DiNardo said. “We can’t wait to see them compete.”
This in-person championship is an opportunity for dogs who compete year-round in the AKC “at- home” League program to come together and compete head-to-head in the same rings! The competition is for all levels of Agility dogs, including Freshman (Novice), Sophomore (Open), Senior (Masters), and PhD (International). Top teams and individuals will be named in all divisions.
The AKC Agility League Championship features participants from many states, including Alaska, Florida, Alabama, North Carolina, Wisconsin, and Texas. All the action will livestream on AKC.TV, with more than 1100 runs over the three-day event.
The AKC Agility League Fall Season gets underway on September 16th. Enrollment opens on August 15th. For more information, contact AgilityLeague@akc.org.
