Almost all of us have full-time jobs. Then, between driving the children from soccer practice to the math tutor, trying to keep a clean house and cooking dinner, as well as staying on top of the constant influx of emails, how can we find time for anything fun?
It has not always been like this. In his informative book, Bowling Alone, Robert Putnam documents the sweeping decline in civic engagement. These activities, from participation in the local PTA to neighborhood potlucks and, yes, bowling leagues. In the course of just three generations, most Americans have somehow lost or totally discarded their free time.

We have the time or can make the time for showing our dogs in conformation, competing in obedience or participating in any the performance events we enjoy. We need our hobby. Here are just some of the reasons why.
