Remembering Margretta Patterson-Kauffman

We received the sad news that Margretta Patterson-Kauffman of Sarasota, FL has passed away at 97 years old.  Margretta married Edmund Kauffman in April 2001.  Together they lived in Siesta Key and spent their summers in Michigan.  Ed passed away in April 2011 but before he did, they shared a passion for dogs and dog shows, serving the last several years of their lives as esteemed judges.

Margretta will always be remembered for her Basset Hounds & Chinese Shar Pei breeding programs, her deep knowledge of all breeds and her kind and funny demeanor.

The Canine Chronicle extends sincere condolences to Margretta’s family, friends and the dog show community following her passing. She will be missed.
