Table Talk · June 9, 2021
I hope everyone had a chance to see the Table Talk Live segment and get a sneak peak at the Lyndhurst grounds as preparation is in high gear for Westminster! If you have not had the chance, hop on over to CanineChronicle.tv and you will get a good idea of where parking, breed judging, group judging, and the grooming tent are located! The weather changes by the minute, so be sure to check your favorite weather app often. Many thanks to Gail Miller Bisher for taking the time to give us this awesome preview of the grounds and layout. Click to watch the video
Exhibitors should note that entry to the property might be challenging over the weekend, so please allow plenty of time to get in and settled. Remember, the early bird gets the worm!!! And please remember this is a very big FIRST for everyone, so please bring your patience and kindness! A little bit of kindness will go a very long way!
We will do our best to keep all those at home who are not able to join us at Westminster in the loop with breed judging results on the Canine Chronice.com website, and Table Talk Live! coverage on Canine Chronice.tv as well as our Facebook page.
For those fanciers who would like to view Westminster events via livestream or television broadcast, you can find the schedule on Westminster’s website at www.westminsterkennelclub.org. Groups will air live on FS1 on Saturday, and FOX on Sunday from 7:30-11 PM EST. There will be a live telecast of select breed judging on Saturday and Sunday on FS1 from 1:30-4 PM EST.
In true Midwest fashion, summer came to us overnight! Temperatures soared over the past weekend, and unprecedented heat challenged the shows in Fargo, North Dakota. Some made the choice to stay home, and others were comfortable venturing out to the show. The club did make the effort to move some of the breed judging from the rings that were warmer to the building that had slightly cooler temperatures. Kudos to the club for their effort to make the exhibitors more comfortable!
Brian and Lori Livingston took their son Skyler on a lovely trip to Turks and Caicos for snorkeling, stingrays, sea turtles and beach time! Sounds like a fantastic trip, and so well-deserved!!!
Healing thoughts to Leslie Smith who is healing from a surgical procedure. Take it easy and we look forward to seeing you back at the shows soon!
Clint Livingston will be going under the knife on June 8th to remove a grapefruit size mass along with a kidney. The prognosis is good, and Clint is expected to make a full recovery in no time! Friends of Clint and Karen have organized a meal train. If you would like to participate, you can get more information on Facebook. Best wishes for a speedy recovery, Clint. I am sure you will be back running left-handed circles in no time!
Congratulations to Devon Kipp Levy and Adam Levy on the upcoming birth of their baby boy in December! Best wishes for a healthy pregnancy, and birth.
It is with great sadness that I report the passing of AKC judge Diane Malenfant at the age of 81. Diane struggled with Parkinson’s Disease for many years. Our sympathies go out to Diane’s family and friends at this most difficult time.
We would like to wish a very happy anniversary to several fanciers celebrating their lives together this week: Paul and Kelley Catterson, Michael and Maida Pesare, Lesli and Danny Smith, and Colton and Heather Johnson are all celebrating anniversaries this week! May you all enjoy many more happy, healthy years of wedded bliss!!!
Celebrating birthdays this week are: Scott Pfeil, Tracie Zeitz, Jan Kolnik, Terry Chacon, Vienna Yeedon, Daniel Chavez, Cathy Schaefer, George Alston and Patti Neale. A very happy birthday filled with lots of cake and ice cream to each of you!
