Canine Health Foundation & VetVine Present Free Webinar – IMHA: Underlying Disease Screening in Dogs

The AKC Health Foundation and VetVine are presenting a free live webinar titled “Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia (IMHA): Underlying Disease Screening in Dogs. What Should I Be Looking For?” on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at 8:00 PM. This event will feature Linda Kidd, DVM, PhD, DACVIM.

Dr. Kidd will review that Immune-mediated hemolytic anemia is a common cause of morbidity and mortality indigos. Key points in this webinar include:

1)  Evidence for infection and other comorbidities as triggers for IMHA
2)  Clues – in a given case context – that help determine diseases for which individual patients should be screened
3)  Data from a recent CHF-funded study (Grant 01900-A: Prevalence of Vector Borne Disease in Dogs with Clinical Signs of Immune Mediated Disease) that illustrate how to optimize detection of vector-borne disease agents commonly associated with immune-mediated disease.

Click here to register for this event. The webinar will also be available on demand following the event on the CHF website.
