Canine Chronicle Virtual Dog Show – You Be The Judge!
It is time to put your thinking caps on! For today’s Virtual Dog Show, we are asking our readers to be the judge and place the following three Dalmatian males First, Second and Third AND to tell us why.
The complete AKC Official Standard for Dalmatians is available online here. As quoted from the AKC Standard, the general appearance of the Dalmatian is as follows:
The Dalmatian is a distinctively spotted dog; poised and alert; strong, muscular and active; free of shyness; intelligent in expression; symmetrical in outline; and without exaggeration or coarseness. The Dalmatian is capable of great endurance, combined with fair amount of speed. Deviations from the described ideal should be penalized in direct proportion to the degree of the deviation.

Lisa Smith – A is just classic, C is a little more Male looking but still a classic, then B
Cindy Cook: A, C, B
Betty Tieche: C is the standard to me, A is beautiful and B

Alan Springfield: Its a close tie IMHO – A) has the best head, shoulders and Topline, C) is a gorgeous Dal I think he could use a little weight, great head, Topline and tail set. B) His head is not as masculine it would be beautiful on a bitch, Topline is a little to roached, Tailset is off a little and the shoulders are too straight.
