Canine Chronicle Virtual Dog Show – You Be The Judge!
It is time to put your thinking caps on! For today’s Virtual Dog Show, we are asking our readers to be the judge and place the following three yearling Papillon males First, Second, and Third AND to tell us why.
The complete AKC Official Breed Standard for the Papillon is available here. As quoted from the AKC Standard, the general appearance of a Papillon is as follows: The Papillon is a small, friendly, elegant toy dog of fine – boned structure, light, dainty and of lively action; distinguished from other breeds by its beautiful butterfly – like ears.
Check back next week when a breed expert will reveal their comments regarding the dogs below.
UPDATE: Thank you to ALL for your participation. Our “at home” judges chose Dog C as their choice for first place with a small margin over Dog A and B.
Cheslie Pickett Smithey, breeder and owner of the three Papillons below, chooses “B” as her first place due to his refinement and elegance, correct proportion, and head type.
If you have 3 dog photos you would like to share for this series or have any feedback – please email Cheslie at cheslie@caninechronicle.com. We look forward to your participation!
