Take The Lead COVID-19 Fund Announcement

Dear Friends,

During the COVID-19 pandemic, life didn’t stop and neither did the work of Take the Lead.  We initially stepped up and offered to pay the health insurance premiums of many in our sport for a period of four months, May – August 2020.  Since this situation lasted much longer than we ever anticipated, we extended this relief for an additional four-month period, September – December 2020.

At present, we need our clients to be aware we have far exceeded our original $400,000 pledge.  After all approved insurance premium payments have been made the committee will terminate the COVID-19 fund December 31, 2020.  Effective immediately, we will not accept any new COVID-19 applications.  As always, everyone’s wellbeing has been our top priority and Take The Lead will continue our mission to help qualified friends in the sport by virtue of our two other applications available on our website, http://www.takethelead.org.

We sincerely hope the efforts of Take The Lead have made your journey through this era of the Coronavirus, just a bit easier.   As dog shows begin once more and hopefully, our lives begin to approach some degree of normalcy, we wish you all well.
