Remembering Sari Brewster Tietjen

We received the sad news that Mrs. Sari Brewster Tietjen of Rhinebeck, New York passed away on Saturday, May 11th.

Mrs. Tietjen was a highly revered AKC Judge of all Sporting, Hound, Toy and Non-Sporting breeds. She judged at most premier shows in the United States, including Best in Show at the 2009 Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. Her opinion was respected and sought after in the dog show community.

Mrs. Tietjen had a background in a variety of breeds, but was most known for her successful line of Japanese Chin. She bred, owned, handled, and lived with the breed for well over 40 years.

The Canine Chronicle extends sincere condolences to Mrs. Tietjen’s family and friends during this time.
