Remembering Julie Desy – Ilemist Shelties

We received the sad news that Shetland Sheepdog legend, Julie Desy of Wyandotte, Michigan, passed away today, January 22nd 2021 from pancreatic cancer.

Julie Desy bred, owned, and handled Shetland Sheepdogs under the Ilemist prefix successfully for many decades. Julie’s daughter, Meredith Hector, is also a successful Shetland Sheepdog breeder, owner, and handler. Notably, Julie handled the beautiful Ch. Brandywine’s Imprint in the 1990s.

The Canine Chronicle extends our sincere condolences to all who knew and loved Julie.
