Remembering Joe Waterman
We are sad to report the passing of Joe Waterman today.
Joe was a renowned and successful all breed professional handler on the West Coast in the 70s, 80s and 90s. Before embarking on his professional handling career in 1968, Mr. Waterman was an aerospace engineer. As a handler, he guided the careers of many top dogs, including the famous toy dogs, Miniature Pinscher, Ch. Jay-Mac’s Impossible Dream and the Smooth Coat Chihuahua Ch. Holiday Gold Jubilee. Joe was also a mentor and teacher to several who became successful professional handlers themselves. Joe was inducted into the Professional Handlers’ Association Hall of Fame in 2008 to recognize his immeasurable contributions to the sport.
The Canine Chronicle extends our sincere condolences to all who knew and loved Joe.
