Nicole Keys Involved in Serious Car Accident

Nicole Keys, a talented young handler, was involved in a very serious car accident early Thursday morning. She has suffered severe head trauma, a collapsed lung, and a fractured pelvis. Nicole is currently in a coma and on a breathing machine.  She is in the Intensive Care Unit at Shans Hospital in Gainesville, Florida.

Nicole is a former junior handler and has competed at the AKC Eukanuba Championship and Westminster Kennel Club. She has most recently worked as an assistant to Barbara Beissel. In addition to showing dogs, Nicole has worked at the Alachua County Sheriff’s Department in the Canine Unit. She is also a college student.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Nicole  for a complete recovery.
