Mark Desrosiers Hired as Executive Field Representative
New York, NY – The American Kennel Club is pleased to announce that Mark Desrosiers has been hired as an In-House Executive Field Representative. He joins the staff effective June 5, 2017 and will be based in the AKC North Carolina office.
“Mark has spent more than three decades in the dog sport and possess the level of expert experience that we seek in an Executive Field Representative,” said Patricia Proctor, Field Director, Conformation. “We are excited to have him as a member of the AKC Staff.”
Mr. Desrosiers holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Vermont.
With over 25 years of experience as a professional handler, his resume includes being a breeder of Beagles, Basset Hounds and Newfoundlands for 30-plus years.
As a member of AKC’s Registered Handler Program and the Professional Handler Association, Desrosiers has shown numerous breeds to Best In Shows, completed AKC Championships on hundreds of dogs and elevated over 50 dogs to the top of their breed while exhibiting in 180 shows per year. He has shown in Junior Showmanship, Obedience, Conformation and Water Rescue.
His career has been dedicated to the welfare of the dogs and he is the co-founder of Tessahoc, Inc, a full service boarding and grooming pet resort located in upstate New York.
