Lawrence Cornelius Hired as Executive Field Representative For AKC

New York, NY – The American Kennel Club is pleased to announce that Lawrence Cornelius has been hired as an Executive Field Representative.  He joins the staff on April 3, 2017 and will be based in the southern California area.

“Larry brings a vast knowledge base to the position of Executive Field Representative, with many successful years in the sport as a professional handler,” said Patricia Proctor, Field Director, Conformation. “The American Kennel Club is proud to welcome him to the staff.”

Cornelius has 44 years of experience in breeding and exhibiting dogs and has handled over 100 different breeds. He is a member of the Morris and Essex Kennel Club. He is also a member of AKC’s Registered Handler Program and the Professional Handler Association.  Cornelius has spent the majority of his career conditioning and caring for the welfare of the dogs in his care at his Bannerdown Kennels.
