Active Shooters at The Coronado KC of New Mexico Dog Show

According to multiple eye witness accounts, there were two active shooters on the show grounds during the Coronado Kennel Club of New Mexico dog show today, Tuesday, May 15th. These shows are held at the New Mexico State Fairgrounds in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

It is reported that the incident involved two locals and possibly started at a nearby McDonalds. The active shooters made their way to the Fairgrounds where the shots continued.

Due to a serious and speedy police response, the two individuals are now in custody. For the safety of those attending the dog show, the show was put on “lock down” and was stopped for about 30 minutes.

We are happy to hear that the police, AKC, and Coronado KC ensured the safety of the judges, exhibitors and spectators during this scary event.
