This past week has been a sad and tragic time for everyone in our sport. I hope everyone can find a bit of comfort by realizing that no matter what, we all have each other. Our community–even though it spans the nation and the world–is a tight-knit family that has each other’s back. In times of need our differences are set aside, and we rise to the occasion whatever it may be, to be there for each other. We must continue this tradition in these very difficult times, and remember to be there for each other; tell your friends you love them, and check in with those who you have not spoken to for awhile.
Mike is currently hospitalized after receiving treatment — On Friday, he suffered a heart attack which ultimately landed him into surgery to place 2 stents. Unfortunately within 24 hours he then suffered a cardiac arrest, he had surgery and was put on ECMO.
Well wishes to Jackie Stacy as she recovers from brain surgery. Hang in there, my friend, you’ve got this! May your recovery be smooth and painless.

Charles E. “Chuck” Trotter, all-breed judge, loving husband, proud father, and friend of dogs, passed away peacefully in his sleep June 4 with his wife Pat and son Chuck Jr. at his side. Born April 14, 1933, in Nashville Tenn., he celebrated his 90th birthday recently with his and late friend Dottie Macdonald’s favorite vegetable – carrot cake!
