Finally, you can make money in dogs! You’ve heard of the goose that laid the golden egg. Your dog could be the pooch that laid the platinum poop.

That’s because AnimalBiome, a biotech firm in Oakland, California, wants your dog poop! And they’re eager to pay you $100 a month per dog for the privilege. Even better, it’s for a good cause.

The company “uses carefully screened feces from healthy pets to support ailing cats and dogs suffering from issues related to microbiome imbalances in the gut.” The poop will be stored in a stool bank (which hopefully won’t be robbed any time soon), and used for both treatment and research pertaining to diarrhea, itchy skin, allergies, bad breath and other possible gut microbiome-associated ailments.
