Remembering Marie Somershoe
It is with profound sadness that I share the passing of our beloved Marie Stuart Somershoe earlier today. Marie left us quietly after a brief stay in the hospital following emergency surgery. At her side were her two sons, George and Stuart, her dear friend Glenda, and her precious Harry, a Brussels Griffon. During her stay in the hospital, Marie was never alone. A circle of friends was with her day and night. She was cared for with respect and diligence by the wonderful nurses at the hospital. Her friends showered her with love.
She was an exceptional woman who did amazing things in and out of the ring.
At this time, we have no details on her sons’ plans for her. As soon as we do, we will share them with everyone.
Barbara Zubrickas predicted, “Marie has just gone to her first dog show in her next life.” Let me follow that with my conviction that she just got her first Best In Show.
Delaware Water Gap Kennel Club plans to memorialize our Marie in December, during our shows in December.
Please feel free to crosspost.
