Remembering Anne Cullen-Tormey

We are sad to report that Anne Cullen-Tormey passed away on Monday, April 3rd. She was surrounded by her family.

Annie was involved in purebred dogs for over 40 years breeding Pointers and German Shorthaired Pointers under the Freiheit prefix. In college, she showed American Saddlebreds and Thoroughbreds, then she turned her attention to dogs. She had many, noted top winners in Pointers, Shorthairs and Weimaraners.

Annie was fun and funny, and quick-witted. She was kind, supportive, sweet and generous. She was quick to send someone a note to congratulate them on an achievement or to genuinely inquire as to how they were doing. She was supportive of young people trying to make their way in the sport, and she was the biggest cheerleader a friend could have.
A private memorial service will be held next week, and a celebration of life will be held this summer.
Annie asked for donations to be made in her name to the American Pointer Club, Inc. or to the German Shorthaired Pointer Club of America.

The Canine Chronicle extends sincere condolences to her friends and family.
