Happy 90th Birthday to Wendell Sammet!

Wendell Sammet of Ale Kai Standard Poodle fame celebrated his 90th birthday in style with an early surprise birthday party at the South Shore Kennel Club on Saturday, September 12, 2015. His birthday is on November 20th. Friends honored this special birthday with cake and refreshments, as well as many photos of past memories.

Wendell Sammet is an icon in the sport of purebred dogs, with Ale Kai poodles topping the Non-Sporting group at Westminster Kennel Club an impressive four times. Mr. Sammet has been awarded with many honors for his dedication to the sport, including the 2002 AKC Breeder of the Year.
