By Tara Gray

Don’t forget your breeder.

From the moment they confirmed a pregnancy, they had hopes and plans and dreams in their mind. They invested hours into research and committed to better the breed. They spent their hard earned money on the care of their animals, showing their animals, health testing their breeding stock, breeding, and preparation to welcome these new little bundles of joy. From the moment they took their first breath, they fell in love with each of them and promised to be there through every moment–good or bad.

Don’t forget your breeder.

They devoted many sleepless days and nights to assure the proper care, nutrition, warmth, and health of mom and babies. They understand the highs and the lows that come with the title “responsible breeder”. They watch these puppies grow and mature making note of all the changes in each and every one. They know everything about these babies, and they also know that they can’t keep them all.

Don’t forget your breeder.

They carefully evaluate every puppy and potential owner to assure the best home is selected for each puppy. They make a lifelong commitment to each puppy that no matter what they will always be there, no matter what that puppy will always have home.

Don’t forget your breeder.

The time has come; they have read every application, checked every reference, and evaluated every home. They have hand-selected those families that will be given the opportunity to love one of their puppies. Each of these families is taking a piece of their heart when they leave with their new puppy. The tears shed and emotions felt is not seen by anyone but your breeder. The day is happy and sad all rolled into one. They know they did everything they could to make the right choices for their puppies.

Don’t forget your breeder.
