AKC Museum Of The Dog’s Paws On Parade Returns To Bryant Park!

The AKC Museum of the Dog is thrilled to announce that Paws on Parade is back Saturday, September 21stfrom 11:00am to 3:00pm in Bryant Park.

The event will feature collective art making, fun photo opportunities, dog superlatives, and food and drink vendors all culminating in a celebratory march around the park. There will also be presentations from the NYPD K9 Transit Bureau and an appearance by Sniff N’ Seek, the Upper East Side’s first Barn Hunt facility. Additionally, the Susan Said Band returns to Paws on Parade for a live musical performance.

“We are thrilled to be bringing Paws on Parade to Bryant Park again this year. The activities we have lined up for the event are sure to please dog owners and dog lovers alike,” said Sarah Moshenberg, Manager of Learning & Engagement for the AKC Museum of the Dog. “It’s a perfect opportunity to enjoy a picnic in the park and have a classic NYC fall day. Here’s to hoping for clear skies and lots of wagging tails!”

The schedule of Paws on Parade is as follows:

            11:00AM – Registration check-in, food & drink vendors open

            11:30AM – Live performance by Susan Said Band & special activities begin

            12:30PM – Parade of dogs around the park begins

            1:00PM – Live music and activities continue

            1:15PM – Dog Cartooning workshop at the Art Cart led by artist Kristin Doney

            1:30PM – Members only photo sessions with photographer Carmen Gonzalez

            2:00PM – Presentation from the NYPD K9 Transit Bureau starts

The event is free and open to everyone. Participation in the parade requires pre-registration of your dog. Spectators without dogs are welcome to attend and enjoy the parade as well. Participants can register here.
