Remembering Mr. R William Taylor

It is with great sadness and regret that we report that Mr. R William Taylor of Havelock, Quebec, Canada has passed away after a lengthy illness.

Mr. Taylor showed his first dog in 1944 and bred his first litter of Pekingese in 1945. Notably, he was the breeder of the 1982 Westminster Best in Show Winner, Ch St Aubrey Dragonora of Elsdon.

Together with his late partner Nigel Aubrey- Jones, Mr. Taylor had a major impact on the sport. As a respected all breed judge, he officiated all over the world. Mr. Taylor judged the Toy Group twice at Westminster Kennel Club and the Toy Group at Crufts. In 2013, he was awarded the Diamond Jubilee Medal for his lifetime commitment to purebred dogs.

The Canine Chronicle would like to express sincere condolences to Mr. Taylor’s friends and family. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
