Remembering Kathleen Kanzler – Innisfree Kennels
We received the sad news that Kathleen Kanzler of Innisfree Kennels passed away. The family states “with very heavy hearts and tears in our eyes we mourn the loss of our mother Kathleen P. Kanzler. She passed away July 8th at the age of 85. Please be respectful of the family during this difficult time. Funeral arrangements to be determined. Thank you. All of us at Innisfree – Sheila, Frank, John, Pam, Patrick & Kevin”
Kathleen Kanzler was the founder of Innisfree Kennels. She established the kennel in 1947. Innisfree Siberian Huskies are known worldwide for their superior beauty and quality and also their working abilities. Notably, Ch. Innisfree’s Sierra Cinnar was Best in Show at the 1980 Westminster Kennel Club dog show. Innisfree Kennels has also maintained a quality breeding program of Shiba Inu.
Kathleen was also a dog show judge, lecturer, and author. She truly dedicated her life to the Siberian Husky Breed.
