Remembering Jimmy Mitchell
It is with great sadness we share the loss of James Mitchell.
Jimmy started his career in dogs as a young kid in a grooming shop, eventually leading him to work for Bill Trainor and Anne Rogers Clark. As a very active member of the dog community, Jimmy worked for the Foley Dog Show Organization as a Superintendent in the late ’70s. In 1988 Jimmy began judging and was approved for several groups until becoming an AKC Executive Field Representative in 2001. Jimmy retired as Field Rep after 19 years and returned to judging.
Jimmy is remembered by his friends for not only his incredible knowledge of dogs, but for his sense of humor and for being a great friend to many.
The Canine Chronicle extends our deepest condolences to his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by many.
