Remembering Dr. Richard Meen

It is with great sadness and regret that we report the passing of Dr. Richard Meen of Ontario, Canada.

Dr. Meen was an icon in the sport of purebred dogs and an absolute favorite Judge among exhibitors. He was a successful breeder, owner, handler, and judge.

Dr. Meen, along with his partner Dr. John Reeve-Newson, bred many Best in Show dogs under the Kishniga prefix. Dr. Meen had a special interest in his beautiful Skye Terriers and Borzoi.

He judged all over the world at many prestigious venues, including Best in Show at the 2016 Westminster Kennel Club.

The Canine Chronicle extends our heartfelt condolences to Dr. Meen’s partner of over 50 years, Dr. John Reeve-Newson, his daughter Sandra Pierce, and his many family and friends during this difficult time. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
