The Veterans Class will be open to all dogs and bitches seven years of age and older. A Best of Breed Veteran will be selected in each breed or variety. Veteran group judging will coincide with the Bred-By Exhibitor group judging on Saturday and Sunday afternoon with the Best Veteran in Show selected on Sunday evening.

“Eukanuba is proud to be part of this special event honoring senior dogs,” said Jason Taylor, Communications Director for Eukanuba and AENC Assistant Show Chairman.  “We’re looking forward to celebrating these special dogs in many ways at this year’s show, and this competition will be the highlight.”

“There is a great tradition of applauding and cheering for our Veteran dogs when they return to the ring at dog shows, and we look forward to doing just that when they return to the AKC/Eukanuba National Championship blue carpet,” said Dennis Sprung, AENC Show Chairman and AKC President & CEO.

Mr. Roger Hartinger of Cincinnati, Ohio will judge Best Veteran in Show on Sunday evening, December 14. The winner will be awarded $500.
