NEW YORK, NY (December 17, 2014) – The American Kennel Club® is pleased to announce that the 2014 AKC/Eukanuba National Championship (AENC) will make its return to television with a two hour show airing on Lifetime on Saturday, January 31st at 9AM EST and re-airing at 2PM EST on LRW.
Lifetime, a premier female-focused entertainment destination, will bring AENC to 96 million households across the country.
“We are thrilled to partner with Lifetime to deliver a show that will share our passion for dogs and many of AKC’s sports with dog lovers across America,” said Dennis Sprung, President and CEO of the American Kennel Club. “This year’s exciting coverage will remind us all of the incredible power of the human-canine bond.”
The January broadcast will celebrate the American Kennel Club and showcase many of the events that occurred during AENC weekend, which took place in Orlando at the Orange County Convention Center this December 13th and 14th.
In addition to the televised show, AENC once again offered extensive online event coverage free of charge via live streaming and on demand video. This year’s coverage included select daytime competition on demand and all evening competition live at akc.org and live.eukanuba.com.
