Min Pin Wins National Owner-Handled Series Final Best in Show
Orlando, FL – The AKC National Owner-Handled Series (NOHS) Finals Best in Show honors went to GCH CH Marlex Classic Red Glare, a Miniature Pinscher owned by Armando Angelbello and Leah Monte and handled by Armando. The inaugural NOHS Finals Best in Show winner was crowned by judge Mrs. Sheila DiNardo.
“The AKC National Owner-Handled Series Finals celebrates the skill and dedication of the owner-handler, the core of the conformation dog sport, and we congratulate all the dogs that topped the NOHS rankings for 2012 and 2013,” said Bri Tesarz, Programs Manager, AKC Event Operations. “We’re happy to have welcomed so many great dogs to our inaugural event and congratulations to our winner!”
The top ten owner-handled dogs (plus ties) in each breed from the 2012 and 2013 qualifying years were invited to compete in the first Finals, and the 520 competitors entered came from 43 states and Canada, representing 160 different breeds.

After winning their Best of Breed competitions, the following top dogs went on to win in their respective groups and compete for AKC National Owner-Handled Series Best in Show:
Sporting: GCH CH Doc’s Crosswinds Absolut Ten of Acadia, a Weimaraner owned by Autumn Stewart-Zimmerman, April Stewart, Mary Ann Stewart and Duane Stewart DVM of Columbus, Ohio
Hound: GCH DC Ableaim Que the Music MC, a Whippet owned by Gail and Jenny Boyd of Apex, North Carolina
Working: GCH CH Sunvalley’s Its As Simple As ABC, a Newfoundland owned by Brooke Beck, Karen Moore, Dee Adrian and Lou Lenner of Pierceton, Indiana
Terrier: GCH CH Edbrios Russian Roulette, a Kerry Blue Terrier owned by Eva Marie Hansen of Mary Island, Florida
Toy: GCH CH Marlex Classic Red Glare, a Miniature Pinscher owned by Armando Angelbello and Leah Monte of Davie, Florida
Non-Sporting: GCH CH Bella Ridge Imperiale Shadyharbor Mafia Campcovo CGC, a French Bulldog owned by Billy Covalucci, Jill Neidig and Lorene Schettino of East Boston, Massachusetts
Herding: GCH CH Sarron Simply Complicated CGC, a Belgian Sheepdog owned by Sherri Swabb of Beavercreek, Ohio
