Remembering Carol Harris

Iconic dog and horsewoman, Carol Harris, passed away yesterday, August 7, 2021 at 98 years old.

Carol Harris established Bo-Bett Farm in Reddick, Florida. Hundreds of world class, champion Whippets, Italian Greyhounds, and Quarter Horses were bred by Carol under the Bo-Bett prefix. Carol was the owner of one of the most celebrated quarter horses in the world and two time AQHA Super Horse, Rugged Lark. Carol and Rugged Lark were both American Quarter Horse Hall of Fame inductees. Carol was a kind friend, mentor, and a wealth of knowledge and guidance to so many.

The Canine Chronicle extends our sincere condolences to Carol’s children, Wendy, Jeff, and Allison and to her many friends following her passing.
