Was your ZOOM interview better, comparable, or less satisfactory than others in person?

I must admit to a lot of trepidation as I started this process. I had never even been on Zoom, so fear of the unknown gripped me pretty tightly. Then my local kennel club opted for a Zoom general meeting a few weeks before my scheduled interview and all the instructions and links were sent out. I was delighted to find that Zoom is easy and works really well. It all went smoothly and the technical worries were laid to rest.

As my interview date neared, I began to realize that, with the geek fear gone, it was really just a conversation with the same purpose as a face-to-face encounter. On the day, I found myself relaxed and ready, and my interviewer was also very much at ease. Overall, it was a very positive experience.

I would have to say the Zoom interview is comparable to an in-person meeting and certainly nothing to be afraid of. Since I did mine, I have assisted a friend in overcoming the same fears by actually setting up a Zoom meeting to demonstrate how easy and comfortable it is.

Would you support the continuation of ZOOM interviews even when in-person ones may become available? Why or why not?

I would definitely support Zoom interviews as an option, even when our current restrictions have been removed. I think either can work well and this flexibility may make it easier for scheduling.

?One special consideration is the interview which requires use of equipment, such as the wicket or scales. These obviously require the controlled environment that only a face-to-face meeting can provide. In these instances, it is probably better to schedule in-person, rather than split the interview into two parts.
