It is hard to believe that it’s August already! Summer is in full swing, and folks are already talking about going back to school. For me, it was the first time in many years that I was home this past weekend and not in Canfield, Ohio. I heard that those attending the Canfield shows were blessed with glorious weather, and despite a smaller entry (1,661 on Saturday) than I can remember, the cluster worked hard to make the show a positive, pleasant experience for exhibitors, dogs and spectators. I remember when RV parking was sold out months in advance and the entry exceeded 4,000 dogs, but that was another time. I give the club credit for continuing their efforts to keep the cluster alive and put the exhibitors first!
