Ten Finalists Chosen For Crufts Junior Warrant Final

The Kennel Club Junior Warrant Winner of the Year competition semi-finals took place this weekend at Eukanuba Discover Dogs at ExCeL London, with 64 top young dogs competing for just ten places in the final, which will be held at Crufts 2016.

The Kennel Club Junior Warrant Winner of the Year semi-finals were judged by Mrs Dagmar Kenis Pordham and Mr Keith Young.

The ten finalists competing at Crufts 2016 will be:

• Australian Shepherd, Heatherhill Stonepine Fuel the Fire (IMP USA) (JW) (SHCM), owned by Mrs A E Allen and Mr N Allen and Mr R Harlow. Bred by Mrs N Newbury and Mr A McKorkle.
• Pug, Briddish Callin Baton Rouge (JW) (SHCM), owned and bred by Ms S T Briddon and Mr R Fisher.
• Dachshund (Miniature Smooth-Haired), Siouxline Aaron (JW), owned and bred by Mrs S M Ergis.
• Keeshond, Neradmik All About the Boy for Watchkees (JW) (SHCM), owned by Mrs M Harris and bred by Mrs J Sharp-Bale.
• Pointer, Hookwood by George (JW) (SHCM), owned by Miss C Hazletine and Mr G Upton. Bred by Mrs S E J Welch.
• Dachshund (Smooth-Haired), Hampdach in These Arms of Adnerb (JW), owned by Mrs B F and C F Jones. Bred by Miss C L Bethel.
• Labrador Retriever, Mattand Exodus (JW), owned and bred by Ms S M Lambert.
• Pomeranian, Kamis Mystical Legend of Brooklyn at Altina (IMP RUS) (JW), owned by Miss C Odd and Mrs C D Holman. Bred by Mrs E M Susekova.
• Bearded Collie, Caldermist Kiss in the Dark (JW) (SHCM), owned and bred by Mrs A and Mr G Pedder.
• Irish Wolfhound, Hydebeck Imperial Ruler (JW), owned and bred by Ms C L Pinkney.

The Junior Warrant is an award for pedigree dogs from the ages of 6 to 18 months which have won a series of first prizes at both Open and Championship shows. Achieving a Junior Warrant is one of the highest levels of success for young pedigree dogs.

The Kennel Club Junior Warrant Winner of the Year competition is held annually and is for dogs which have gained the title of Junior Warrant during the previous year.  The final will take place on Thursday 10th March 2016 and will be just one of the fascinating activities taking place at Crufts, to celebrate healthy, happy dogs from 10th – 13th March 2016 at the NEC, Birmingham.
