Remembering Ellen Yamada
The Canine Chronicle received the sad news of the passing of Ellen Yamada.
Ellen was an active member of the dog community. She and her husband, Burt, were key member of the Orange Empire Dog Club and guided it to success for decades. Ellen and Burt bred and exhibited many top producing and top winning Standard Schnauzers. Burt also judged Best In Show at the 2004 Westminster Kennel Club. Ellen’s friends remember her for her optimistic outlook and never-ending support.
“Ellen was a bright light in the sport of purebred dogs,” say Tom Grabe, publisher of The Canine Chronicle. “I always looked forward to seeing her and Burt. They were always smiling and so happy to see their friends. Their dedication to our sport was evidenced by their myriad contributions to it. Ellen will be missed by all who knew her.”
The Canine Chronicle extends sincere condolences to her husband Burt Yamada, their children, friends and family.
