Eukanuba Breeder’s Stakes at The Kentuckiana Cluster
The Eukanuba Breeder’s Stakes will be held in Louisville, Kentucky at the Kentuckiana Cluster on Friday, March 14th following Best in Show judging.
The judges for this event are:

Sporting Group: Cindy Lane Smith
Hound: Kerrie Kuper
Working: Marie Ann Falconer
Terrier: Leonardo Garcini
Toy: Brad Reese
Non-Sporting: Andrea McIlwaine
Herding: Linda Guihen
The Eukanuba Breeder’s Stakes competition is designed to evaluate an overall breeding program. The entry rules are as follows:
Breeder:
- Enters 3 dogs from at least 2 different litters of the same breed
- Exhibits must be over 6 months of age
- Must be the Breeder of Record on all 3 dogs
- The Breeder must show their own dog and be the first to enter the ring with their trio; the other two handlers are there to simply assist with the breeder’s entry. Handlers may present the breeders dogs in the competition behind the breeder.
- If the breeder is unable to run, the breeder may have a runner to complete this portion of the competition, the runner will then hand the exhibit back to the breeder.
Judging:
- Competition begins at the group level
- Breeder of Record must be the first handler of the trio
- Judges will evaluate the quality of the breeding program on the 3 exhibits
