It is time to put your thinking caps on! For today’s Virtual Dog Show, we are asking our readers to be the judge and place the following three Bernese Mountain Dogs First, Second, and Third AND to tell us why.
The complete AKC Official Breed Standard for the Bernese Mountain Dog is available here. As quoted from the AKC Standard, the general appearance of a Bernese Mountain Dog is as follows:
The Bernese Mountain Dog is a striking. tri – colored, large dog. He is sturdy and balanced. He is intelligent, strong and agile enough to do the draft and droving work for which he was used in the mountainous regions of his origin. Dogs appear masculine, while bitches are distinctly feminine.
