FCI World Exposition 2020 In Madrid – Official Announcement of the FCI And Real Canine Society of Spain

Due to the intensified spread of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), the Royal Canine Sociedad de España (RSCE) and its Organizing Committee have to face a situation of new restrictions regarding the holding of public events in the Madrid area.

Following a meeting held on March 11, 2020 with representatives of IFEMA (Exhibition grounds) and local authorities responsible for public events, we regret having no choice but to announce that the 2020 World Exhibition FCI will not be held in Madrid on the scheduled dates from 23 to 26 April 2020.

The only dates – this year – in which IFEMA pavilions could be occupied in Madrid would be from July 9 to 12
The RSCE wants to celebrate the 2020 World Exhibition of the CRF on the dates proposed above. The CSCE will be responsible for managing all practical details regarding registrations already registered, possible cancellations of registrations, as well as any matter or situation following this change in programming

The General Committee of the FCI has decided to respect the will of the Organizing Committee and, instead of canceling the 2020 FCI World Exhibition, give the opportunity to all breeders and owners who wish to compete for World Champion titles FCI 2020.

Consequently, the FCI and CSCE officially announce that the 2020 World Exhibition of the ICF is postponed and will be held in Madrid from 9 to 12 July 2020.
As indicated above, any technical or new information will be officially communicated by the Organizing Committee in the coming weeks.

We beg your understanding and support. We all know what the difficulties, sacrifices and consequences of our decision to postpone the ICF World Exhibition 2020 are, but we come to the conclusion that it is the best solution for our community.
