Ask Ohio Committee to Support Allowing Dogs in Outdoor Dining Areas
AKC Legislative Alert
The Ohio House of Representatives Economic Development, Commerce, and Labor Committee is scheduled to consider a bill on Tuesday, October 24th, that would allow dogs in outdoor eating establishments, with permission from the business owner.
The AKC strongly supports House Bill 263, as it allows responsible dog owners more opportunity to enjoy outdoor activities and socialization with their well-behaved pets. The bill also prohibits the state from establishing a law that prevents businesses from making their own decision on this issue.
Ohio residents are encouraged to contact the Ohio House of Representatives Economic Development, Commerce, and Labor Committee prior to the hearing on October 24th at 1:30 pm and ask the members to support HB263.
