Remembering Kent Delaney
It is with great sadness and regret that we report the recent passing of AKC Judge Mr. Kent Delaney of Orland Park, Illinois.
Kent was known for his friendly, welcoming, and larger than life personality. He was an absolute favorite among exhibitors, and the entire dog show community.
He was a longtime respected and knowledgeable judge of all Hound, Toy, and Non-Sporting breeds, as well as Best in Show. He also judged Obedience. His judging assignments included many prestigious assignments all over the world, including a myriad of National Specialties, the Westminster Kennel Club and the American Kennel Club dog show. He received the American Kennel Club Lifetime Achievement Award for Obedience in 2002.
The Canine Chronicle extends heartfelt condolences to all of Kent’s many friends and following his passing. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
