YKC Training Days with Beth Sweigart, Peter Green & Claire Cooper

This August, the Young Kennel Club is proud to welcome Beth Sweigart, Peter Green and Claire Cooper to two handling training days which it is hosting in conjunction with the Welsh Kennel Club Championship Dog Show at Builth Wells.

On 22nd and 23rd August 2015, YKC members can choose between a basic or an advanced Handling and Showing Training Day.

Gerald King, Chairman of the Young Kennel Club said: “We are delighted to continue to offer YKC members unique opportunities that will further their skills and handling experience, and we are thrilled to welcome a number of highly talented and successful trainers.

“Those attending the advanced day will have the pleasure of learning from one of the most successful ever handlers, Peter Green. Peter has won Best in Show at Westminster and Crufts, as well as having a successful judging career which includes Crufts Best in Show 2009.

“Beth Sweigart is joining both handling days – a hugely successful professional handler, Beth has not only won the group at Westminster five times, but also Best in Show. Joining Beth on the basic day is Claire Cooper, who has been showing and judging for nearly 28 years. Claire has handled dogs all over Europe, gaining many titles and has made up Champions in four breeds across two groups.”

Open to YKC members only, just 20 places are available on each day and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

The handling training days cost just £30 and will run from 9am to 4pm. For more information, or to apply for a place visit:http://www.ykc.org.uk/content/get-involved/events-calendar/.
