Kennel Club Announces Breeders Heading To Crufts For Competition

The Kennel Club has announced that 46 breeders have qualified for the Kennel Club Breeders’ Competition grand final, which will be held in the Main Arena at Crufts 2014 on Sunday 9th March at 5.25pm.
Sponsored by Agria Pet Insurance, and supported by Our Dogs newspaper, the Breeders’ Competition gives breeders the opportunity to showcase their skill and knowledge as a dog breeder. Over the past twelve months, a total of 65 dog breeders competed around the country to compete for the prestigious title of Best Breeder by showcasing their breeding talents.
Caroline Kisko, Kennel Club Secretary, said: “This year we have breeders of around forty different breeds competing in the Breeders’ Competition final at Crufts.
“We are excited to see the competition play out, and the final will be a chance to showcase some of the country’s best breeders, as well as the happy and healthy dogs that are bred by them.
“A big congratulations goes out to all those who have made it to the final, and we are very much looking forward to seeing who will take the crown this year.”
In the grand final, all of the finalists will be pre-judged before going into the Main Arena. The breeder’s team must comprise three or four dogs of the same breed which must have the same registered breeder or breeder partnership.
