Ocala Showgrounds Gets A Major Upgrade
Anyone who shows dogs regularly in the Southeast is probably familiar with the showgrounds owned by the Greater Ocala Dog Club in Ocala, Florida. Over the years, this dynamic group of volunteers has turned what was a pasture into a beautiful showgrounds complete with lighting and camping hookups.
Exhibitors and spectators at this year’s show will find an exciting new addition to the grounds. The facilities now include a state-of-the-art covered concrete arena that is approximately 50×200 feet with many large fans. Surrounding this building is a newly-sodded, level area for large rings. The grounds has, in addition to this new building, two pole barns, a meeting building, and large open areas for motorhomes as well as large shady areas for additional parking.
The Canine Chronicle was proud to contribute to the new improvements to the Greater Ocala Show Grounds. Their sponsorship is appreciated by all involved.
The Greater Ocala Show Grounds are located in Ocala, Florida on Gainesville Road north of CR 326 and hosts numerous dog shows, agility trials, conformation and obedience classes along with miscellaneous canine events throughout each year.
We look forward to these improvements serving the dog show community for years to come.
