AKC Canine Health Foundation Announces the Resignation of CEO Susan Lilly
Today, the AKC Canine Health Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing, treating, and curing diseases in all dogs, announced that Susan Lilly, the Foundation’s Chief Executive Officer, has announced her resignation effective December 31, 2015 for personal reasons.
“Susan made a big impact in the short time she was with CHF. She significantly improved our relationships with our supporters and made friends of many present and potential supporters. For the last quarter of 2014 and all of 2015 she led the Foundation in meeting the AKC Match Challenge, which matches contributions from new and lapsed donors up to $500,000,” said Dr. Duane Butherus, AKC Canine Health Foundation Board Chairman.
Dr. Butherus continued, “Susan leaves with our good wishes and with thanks for all she has accomplished for the AKC Canine Health Foundation.”??The AKC Canine Health Foundation bridges the gap between veterinary research and dog lovers by raising funds to support over $1 million per year in new canine health research grants dealing with issues related to behavior, epilepsy, cancer, cardiology, musculoskeletal injuries and disease, and bloat, among others, for all dogs regardless of breed. Currently, over 100 active research projects are being supported by funds raised by the Foundation from corporate donors, dog clubs, and dog lovers throughout the U.S.
