Texas: Vacancy on Licensed Breeders Advisory Committee
The Texas Licensed Breeders Advisory Committee, which advises the Texas Commission of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) on matters related the state’s Dog and Cat Breeders Act, currently has vacancy for a breeder member. The law requires the member be licensed as required by the Act.
As a reminder, breeders of dogs or cats required to be licensed are those who possess 11 or more adult intact female animals and is engaged in the business of breeding those animals for direct or indirect sale or for exchange in return for consideration and who sells or exchanges, or offers to sell or exchange, not fewer than 20 animals in a calendar year. Interested licensed breeders may submit an application online, or may mail a completed downloadable application. Applicants may also request an application by telephone (from within Texas, 800-803-9202), fax (512-475-2874), or email (advisory.boards@tdlr.texas.gov). Please note that applicant may be asked to appear for an interview at the applicant’s expense.
