Take The Lead: Hurricane Harvey Emergency Assistance Information

Take The Lead released the following information regarding emergency assistance to those impacted by Hurricane Harvey. The link to apply for Take The Lead Emergency Assistance is here.

“The Board of Take The Lead has established an Emergency Fund to assist those in our sport who are currently enduring hardship due to fires and floods that they are currently experiencing.

The criteria for assistance are as follows:

The applicant must have 5 years of involvement in our sport. Each family, when approved, will have a limited account established from which TTL will pay approved bills to assist with their current living expenses.

These approved bills could be for hotel, motel, apartment rent, etc. Co-pays for medical expenses. Medications. Utility bills. Dog boarding. Current living expenses. Others with approval.

Each account will vary in the type of need approved. Unhappily, we are not in a position to help you build a new house or purchase you a new car but we are ready to help you with those qualified expenses.

An application can be found online at www.takethelead.org or, we hope, for your local kennel club. You may also call us at 1-800-814-1123. If no one is available at the moment, please leave your name and contact information and we will get back to you as quickly as possible”
