Remembering Nancy & Bruce Petersen

The Canine Chronicle is saddened to report the tragic passing of Bruce and Nancy Petersen of Bloomington, Illinois on Sunday, July 31, 2016.

Bruce and Nancy Petersen were longtime dedicated Irish Terrier fanciers. They were devoted to the Irish Terrier Breed and the sport of purebred dogs. They were involved in the Corn Belt Kennel Club and Irish Terrier Club of America. They served both clubs in various capacities. Bruce was an AKC judge of Irish Terriers and Nancy successfully competed in the new AKC National Owner-Handled Series. Bruce was slated to judge Irish Terriers at Montgomery County Kennel Club this year.

Nancy and Bruce’s son, Brian Petersen, has been charged with the murders of his parents at the family’s home in Bloomington. For more information, please visit Blomington’s newspaper, The Pantagraph.

The Canine Chronicle extends our sincerest condolences to Nancy and Bruce Petersen’s family and friends during this very difficult time. They will be missed.
